For this class project, students were tasked with reillustrating an existing tea company's box
design or creating their own. I elected to use TAZO and I introduced two new flavors. Originally, I sought to design a box with Chinese art and design influences as the Lunar New Year had just passed as the project was assigned. I viewed tea boxes online and looked at the TAZO and Teavanna tea boxes in store. I was impressed with the Tazo design and merged my influences with their existing design to create the tea boxes I showed in class. In my sketches, i demonstrate how I considered the box shape, color schemes and flavors, the customer opening experience, how the box exists on the shelf and how the tea sits inside the box. The process can be seen below from sketches and conception to finished artwork.
